Foreign Press Award
Umbrian olive oil and wine producer Monte Vibiano is among the four winners of the 2010 Italian Foreign Press Association's "Premio del Gusto" ("Taste Club") Awards.
Monte Vibiano received the prestigious prize on November 9, 2010 in Rome. The Perugia-based company ran in the "farm production' category and was chosen for its "great devotion to the environment, as well as for the excellence of its products."
The other winners are: writer Oretta Zanini De Vita, restaurant "Buca di Zibello" in Parma and "Consorzio di Tutela della Valli Belicine" in Sicily.
The Italian Foreign Press Association prize is awarded to companies less-known to the wider public, but which operate in accordance to the great Italian traditions.
The award ceremony took place at the "Citta' del Gusto" ("City of Taste") of Gambero Rosso, sponsored by the Italian Agriculture Ministry, Carpigiani Gelato University and wines from Ferrari of Trento.
